About Monika

Monika is a Clinical Psychotherapist and Counsellor who specialises in child, adolescent and young adult development, behaviour, mental health and wellbeing. She is also a trained EMDR therapist (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) which has extensive evidence of being a highly effective treatment for psychological trauma and a variety of psychological issues such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, abuse, performance anxiety, stress reduction, disturbing memories, phobias and many others.

She has a Masters Degree in Child & Adolescent Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling and has completed extensive training in the field of attachment, relationships, trauma, child & adolescent development and parenting. She also completed internationally recognised training in Therapeutic Life Story Work with Richard Rose.

Monika holds a full clinical registration with PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia), ARCAP (The Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) as well as full accreditation with the EMDR Association of Europe . She is a member of Therapeutic Life Story Work International, Children & Nature Network and the Australian Association for Bush Adventure Therapy (AABAT)/Outdoor Health Australia.

She combines over 15 years of experience and qualifications, having worked across a wide range of government, health, education, and not for profit organisations, alongside volunteering and running her own busy private psychotherapy &counselling clinic in London, UK.

Monika is a passionate and nurturing therapist who utilises creative ways of engaging children, adolescents and young adults to foster a trusting and welcoming therapeutic environment. Alongside talking therapy, she uses sandplay, creative arts, play therapy and nature-based materials which allow her clients to express themselves more freely and learn deeper, long-lasting wellbeing strategies. Monika utilises a wide variety of therapeutic modalities such as existential, psychodynamic, humanistic, systemic, nature based and creative therapies to tailor a bespoke therapy to meet each person’s specific needs.
